An exciting opportunity has arisen for the recruitment to the role of a Mobile Cashier to support the Head Cashier within the Cashiers Departments at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.   

This is an exciting role working in the Trusts cashier’s offices providing an over the counter service to staff, clients and members of the public, providing cover within the Penninecare footprint e.g. Rochdale, Tameside, Oldham and Stockport.

This is a varied role and would suit an individual who will enjoy working with staff, clients and members of the public and being additionally responsible for ward based delivery service.

  

Key Responsibilities of the Post:

 

Responsible for providing an efficient and effective counter service to staff, clients and members of the public

Additionally responsible for ward based delivery service to those clients unable to visit the counter. Responsible for recording all Income and Withdrawals for Patient Monies Assist in reconciliation of the cashbook, cash and bank records for the Patients monies account Responsible for banking of income in accordance with the Trust’s procedures. Regularly provide cover within the Penninecare footprint e.g. Rochdale, Tameside, Oldham and Stockport. Key Requirements of the Person Specification:

 

The post holder must have a good basic knowledge of accountancy

The posy holder must have experience working within a Finance Department

The post holder must be computer literate, essentially in Microsoft Office packages.  The post holder will be required to spend long periods of time working at a PC in order to complete the duties of the post.

The post holder must have the ability to communicate financial matters easily and clearly to non-financial managers,

The post holder must show considerable commitment to working as a team player within the Finance Department

The post holder must be able to deal sensitively, and responsibly, to confidential information.

The post holder with support from their Manager must be able to meet definite deadlines under pressure and be able to effectively prioritise their work in order to achieve this.

The post holder must have the ability to prioritise own workload and work in changing environment.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
