Applications are welcome for the above permanent full time position based at Werneth Primary Care Centre in Oldham. This is a new post with 10 programmed activities (PAs) and has arisen as part of an investment and development by Oldham CCG into the Community Paediatric Medical Service.
The successful candidates will join an established team of three Consultants and one Speciality Doctor as well as Consultant and Specialist Nurses who work as part of an Integrated Children’s Care Service providing specialist assessment, diagnostic and care planning to meet the needs of children and young people in Oldham with disabilities and special educational needs.
Oldham is a culturally and economically diverse Community and this is reflected in the health needs of its child population including high levels of neurodisability and autosomal recessive disorders.
With the expansion of the Community Medical Paediatric Service this is an exciting opportunity to shape service pathways in the area. Each Consultant Community Paediatrician will share aspects of Community Paediatrics with colleagues and have relevant experience in clinical management of children including those with neurodevelopmental difficulties and safeguarding and take key strategic lead in areas pertaining to their job description.
